Boys Are Better Than Girls
I guess the previous post needs a little more explanation.
While we’d be happy with any baby if we could choose we’d probably lean towards a boy. There’s really only a couple of reasons. One, we’ve already got ourselves a little girl so there’s no surprises there. Secondly when it comes to this branch of the Malloy family I’m it. The buck stops with me and if there’s no boys then the Malloy name, in the traditional sense, dies with me. I know that’s terribly sexist and patriarchal and non-PC but sorry folks, that’s me when it comes to names. Thirdly the name just fits.
So, Kennedy, if you’re reading this in years to come and you’re planning on getting married please don’t change your name. It’d mean a lot to your old dad.

The other option is to keep going back until you get the boy…..
