Firsts
Up until now pretty much everything has been a first.
First car trip, first coffee out, first visit by the health nurse, first trip shopping but I’m in the middle of a very scary first right now - first time it’s just me and him.
Rae has gone to do the shopping and run some errands leaving just me and the boy alone here in the house. He’s been sleeping for an hour or so and I’m getting sounds of hiccups over the monitor but we’ve done pretty well so far. I do hope he doesn’t wake before Rae gets back. There’s only so much distracting I can do before here realises I don’t have what he really wants.
(Damn it, I knew I was tempting fate - there go the ‘I’m waking up’ grunts).
