The Cutest Thing

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

He’s discovered he has a right hand. He spends minutes lying there gazing at these outstretched fingers and turns his hand over and over in awe of it’s creation.
Minf, tis only the right hand. The left he has absolutely no interest in.

Moving about

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

I put the boy down. Then plonked the hanging animals above his chest to play with while I grabbed the washing in.
Came back to find this.

Just where did he think he was going?

Some days are smiles

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Yesterday Albert was weighed, measured and such by the nurse. Leaps and bounds boy is now a healthy 7kgs. At a little more than 3 months of age, he is quite happily average, having almost doubled his birth weight.
After the visit to the nurse and skipping out on our morning nap, we went out to […]

Argument

Wednesday, November 16th, 2005

Yesterday Tony came home with the final in the Star Wars saga on DVD; Revenge of the Sith. This morning we argued about which order Albert should watch them in.
He says Bert should be a purist and watch them in the original order 4 to 6, then 1 to 3. I say he is […]

Email joke

Tuesday, November 15th, 2005

I received this in an email today. Some of them are quite clever!
You knew many things would change once you became a mother, but did you expect your vocabulary would be one of them? Here are some common words that may have taken (or will take) on new meaning thanks to Albert:
Amnesia: The condition that […]

Milestone

Monday, November 14th, 2005

With all the pics and things I wanted to put up here, I completely forgot his milestone yesterday. Bert rolled completely on his own for the first time yesterday evening. I know, he probably won’t do it again for the rest of the week, and it was just a fluke this first time, but I […]

Two Tiges

Monday, November 14th, 2005

Rob made Albert a very special present - his very first Tigers vest, complete with yellow sash across the chest. Unfortunately it was a tad small, but luckily it fitted his bear.

Now he has his very own Tige Teddy. Thanks Rob!

3 months

Monday, November 14th, 2005

We went to the zoo yesterday with Nana & Uncle Rob. Bert was 3 months old (already!) and he did pretty good. Mind, he didn’t sleep much in the pram at all, which meant an early leaving time for Dad and Mum (who were dog tired from lack of sleep from the week prior) and […]

Heads Up

Wednesday, November 9th, 2005

It’s hard but he’s trying. This morning I plonked him down and tucked his arms under his chest. He pulled his head up really well and held it there for a good amount of time.

It became such a struggle though. You could just hear the effort he was putting in.

Shopping

Monday, November 7th, 2005

Until last week, I’d avoided doing big shopping centre visits with Bert. I dunno why. Kinda out of the habit with tagging a little one along for the trip I guess. Then Mum invited us to join her at Highpoint last week. We did. We survived.
On the weekend we discussed Christmas and the impending shop. […]
